Television broadcasters in four Southeastern states know what you'll be watching the evening of Saturday, Aug. 2.
Broadcasters in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee plan to air a 30-second announcement about the switch from analog signals coming to all televisions next year. Broadcast associations in the states say the ad will be aired by 135 television stations at 7 p.m. EDT - 6 p.m. CDT.
Many stations plan to follow the ad with a 30-minute program on the change.
The announcements promote the Feb. 17, move by broadcasters to drop analog signals. Only digital signals will be broadcast and people without a digital television, or cable or satellite service will be left with nothing to watch. People can buy converters for analog television sets
